In the true style of Saint Patricks day it was a lively occasion – to be sure! This was our first event under cover of our new outside canopy, with fans, light and a TV.
A green theme prevailed throughout and made even more authentic with the Guinness hat, Guinness pint glass, the traditional Irish stew and even one token Irishman. Begorrah!
The first meeting was a blast there were 5 new members at the inaugural meeting and plenty of non whisky drinkers as guests
The bottle whisky this month (March) is Oban which was sampled with tremendous enthusiasm.
Oban 14yo, a Western Highland malt is a superb, full-blooded fruity malt with a whiff of heather and more than a hint of smoke.
Next Meeting: The First Wednesday in April (6th) With Macallan as the bottle of the month.
