Gorgonzola is a veined blue cheese, originally from Italy, made from unskimmed cow's milk. This gorgonzola is buttery and quite salty, with a "bite" from its blue veining.
Fat content: 25 - 35%
Best matched with soft, savory red and/or white wines. Among white wines, Riesling, Pinot Blanco, Orvieto Classico, Frascayi Sup., dry Malvasia and Gavi ate excellent matches.
